Tigo promises improved service with new digital support center

Telecom operator, Tigo Ghana, has opened another Digital Support Center in Tema not only to improve customer service but also to create employment for the teeming unemployed graduates.

This brings the number of such centres to four with the Accra Mall, Takoradi and Barnes road already providing customers with a highly interactive and a more satisfying experience.

The Tema customer experience centre also has dedicated areas for specific customer needs including providing quality ICT solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises, (SMEs).

As part of solving unemployment issues among the youth in the Ghana, has commissioned a Tigo digital support centre which will host 120 customer service personnel’s.

The personnel will be performing multiple services such as inbound and outbound voice calls and a range of superior digital customer services.

The Minister for Communication, Dr. Omane Boamah, who commissioned the center, commended Tigo for the initiative.

“This is one such initiative that will give graduates employment opportunities because all the people here at least have gone past the tertiary level. You have either graduated from the university or the polytechnic so this will go a long way in having a positive impact on graduate unemployment”.

He further commended the company for driving technological advancement in their operations to give customers delightful experience and for impacting positively on the citizens and businesses.

Chief Executive Officer of Tigo Ghana, Roshi Motman, said the centre was built to ensure that all customers, through access to modern technologies, receive immediate and instant support from well-trained support staff.

She urged both old and new customers to try their new service plan as it has been improved tremendously. She added that the service center service can now be delivered through watsapp, facebook and Skype.

“At Tigo, we see service as a major part of our brand promise and a major part of our product that we want to deliver to our customers; therefore, this facility will improve the service level that we will be able to deliver to our customers from now on”.

Tigo is a telecommunications and media company that offers a range of digital services to millions of people worldwide.

Roshi Motman recently won the African Chief Executive Officer award at the 2015 COM World Series AfricaCom Awards held in Cape Town, South Africa.
