Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has told Citi News President John Mahama has already settled on a running mate for Election 2016.
Although he has not mentioned any name, Dr. Omane Boamah said the President is only waiting for a Council of Elders and National Executive Committee meeting of the party for the declaration to be done.

These include Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho, Foreign Affairs Minister Hanna Tetteh, former NHIA boss Sylvester Mensah and Accra mayor, Alfred Vanderpuije.
The Speaker of Parliament has however distanced himself from the list of candidates considered for the second top job.
Adjaho told The Herald newspaper that “I won’t compete with my former lecturer for any position, including the position of the Vice President of Ghana.”
