Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan donated a sum of USD 30,000 on Monday to the national female team, the Black Queens for winning gold at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.
The donation was made to fulfill a promise he made to the Queens when they returned to the country after the tournament.
Gyan presented the cheque to the Queens at the offices of the Ghana Football Association and it was received by Nana Benyin Eyison, a member of the GFA’s Emergency Committee.
Gyan had already donated USD 10,000 to the team before the start of the All Africa Games.
