Prior to the primaries, Oko Vanderpuije had in a Citi News interview promised total economic transformation for the area.

Mr. Vanderpuije said he has the ability to improve the economic life of traders, including fish mongers, fishermen and all other businesses in the constituency if he is given the opportunity.

He said the constituents should consider his experience on the field as the Mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

“My work as the AMA Mayor has given me the needed experience and had prepared me for parliament.”
