Another contender Gilbert Mensah Amartey also polled 322 votes, with a former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku; Nii Nortey Duah managing a scanty 109 votes.
In the presidential elections, 5,315 voted yes to endorse President Mahama as presidential candidate for the 2016 elections, while 332 voted no.
In the build up to the polls, Gilbert Mensah Amartey, had accused the Okiti-Duah and Mr Amartey Mensah of having used their positions in the party to influence the registration of non-party members.
These accusations came on the back of the destruction of the NDC’s voters’ register for the Ledzokuku constituency.
