A man believed to be an aide to Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, E.T. Mensah has allegedly punched Sam George in his eye.

Sam George, who is fiercely contesting E.T. Mensah in the NDC primaries had complained that his name has been deleted from the party’s register in the Ningo Prampram constituency.

However, checks at the Regional office of the party revealed that George’s name was in fact on the register.

He added  that  Sam George has been asked to lodge a formal complaint with the Police.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission has put on hold the election in the constituency.

This follows complaints by Sam George that over 3,000 names have been deleted from the NDC’s Ningo Prampram voters’ register.
