A Tamale High Court has placed injunction on the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary primary in the Bunkprugu constituency of the Northern Region.

A disqualified aspirant Nabur Berrick headed to court and secured the injunction after he was was disqualified for failing to meet the party’s constitutional provision which stipulates that any parliamentary aspirant must be of good standing for four years.

[contextly_sidebar id=”82tgObakDhheua94TyaUDp4I13rnNkXD”]The Northern Regional NDC Secretary, lawyer Rauf Khalid confirmed this to Citi News.

He said the regional secretariat had been served with the writ and the motion will be heard on November 31.

Rauf Khalid warned that the police will not tolerate any untoward behaviour likely to mar the polls.

He encouraged all eligible voters to go home after voting and monitor the results on the various radio stations.

He revealed that six aspirants will be declared unopposed in the Wulensi, Salaga North, Damongo, Yagba-Kubori, Saboba and Karaga constituencies.
