Award-winning investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has expressed confidence the committees set up by the Chief Justice to look into allegations of judicial corruption following his recent exposé, will vindicate him.
A committee is currently interrogating over 30 judges and magistrates, who were implicated in the two-year investigative piece.
Other committees have also been setup to probe over 100 judicial staff, also implicated in the investigative piece.

Speaking for the first time after the committee begun its work, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, told the BBC he is optimistic the outcome of the committee’s work will vindicate him.
“One thing about me is that, I believe in the people of Ghana and I believe in the Chief Justice and I believe in the committees that she has put together. If anything goes wrong, blame me not the committee members or the chief Justice but rather blame me for not being able to put out enough evidence.”
“I am very confident that the evidence I had was good enough and it is good enough; and I have put it before the committee; I have been subjected before many lawyers in cross-examinations here and there and I am taking the challenge. If anything happens, everybody’s last resort is the law court.”
Anas noted “I have done a lot of investigations across the African continent; and I think that, the problems we are suffering in Africa is as a result of the problems we have with our judiciary; and that if we will be courageous enough to stand toe to toe to investigate some of these issues in our judiciary, I am sure that Africans can only have better lives and better countries.”
Anas Aremeyaw Anas is battling for integrity, following allegations of impropriety leveled against him by a former Attorney-General Martin Amidu.
Mr. Amidu has suggested that Anas is a government-agent operating an illegal entity.
But Anas has denied all the allegations against him and his private investigative firm, TigereyePI, insisting he will pursue his undercover operations to expose bad nuts and to make society a better place for all.
