Celebrated Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, says he will not cower out of his job despite the growing threats on his life and that of his family.

Anas said this in an interview with the BBC.

His latest two-year investigative piece on perceived corruption in Ghana’s judiciary, has implicated over thirty judges and magistrates, as well of judicial service staff.

Anas’ previous works, some of which exposed private companies and government agencies in corruption, thievery and embezzlement, have also earned him a lot of enemies.

Nonetheless, Anas says he will pursue his undercover operations to expose the bad nuts and to make society a better place for all.

“I am sure that by now you would have heard of the snippets of my family and many other things that are coming up. But I want to assure the people; and all on the African continent who think that they can cow people like us into docility, I am not one of them. I was purged of fear long ago and I am resolute and focused because I don’t do my work alone; I have a team that supports me in what I do. As far as I am concerned, once there are evil doers in the society we must aim at ensuring that we track them down.
Anas in his work, has always remained anonymous clothing himself in various forms in order to protect his life from detractors.

Following his recent exposé on corruption in Ghana’s judiciary, a member of his TigereyePI private investigative firm, was kidnapped in the Northern Region.

He was later rescued by the police, who arrested one of the kidnappers.

Anas is also currently battling for integrity, following allegations of impropriety leveled against him by a former Attorney-General Martin Amidu.

Mr. Amidu has suggested that Anas is a government-agent operating an illegal entity.
