Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has revealed that he possesses a government-issued service passport.
In an interview with the BBC, Anas said that a service passport is a public document that can be given to anyone by the government.

Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Martin Amidu, has accused Anas of being an agent of the state and said that he (Anas) possesses a service passport.
“Ghanaians will wish to know which department of the Government the fraudulent and dummy Tiger Eye PI or its other illegal variant works for to have warranted the Government to issue to its CEO a biometric Government Service Passport in Accra in 2013 expiring in 2018 for his foreign travels when he was on the judicial investigations,” he alleged.
Anas stated that he finds the accusation petty because it has nothing to do with the judicial scandal.
“When I read it, I found the comment very interesting. I was laughing because of the pettiness. What is a service passport? Who said it is only meant for public officials? It is not true. What has that got to do with this whole scandal? I have a public passport, it is a public document,” he noted.
He also said that he finds nothing wrong with working for the state and that “I have said that in the past I worked with the state and I will be very happy if I get a contract again to work with the state. It is not as if I am shying away from that. That is the basis of the point that I am making.”
“I am saying that on this occasion I have not worked with the state and I can’t see how Uncle Martin will just come and say that I have worked with the state without providing any proof,” he added.
Anas described the comments by Martin Amidu as just diversionary tactics.
“To be honest, I see this as a diversionary tactic to ensure that I don’t do my best and focus on these judges who have been caught taking bribes.”
