The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has condemned last night’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

[contextly_sidebar id=”53BV5eMTMhQ4rXbuaFhW3sLSAWN4etDY”]Nana Addo said in a statement that he received the news with “shock and sadness,” describing the act as “insane and cowardly.”

“I received news of the terrorist attacks in Paris, which have left at least 153 people dead so far and several hundreds injured, with utter shock and sadness. I join the rest of the world in sympathising with the families of the dead and the injured.”

Nana Addo said no religion or ideology justifies the killing of innocent people and that the world must stand up together against all the atrocities that go on around the world in a twisted understanding of religion or ideology.

“I wish to condemn, unreservedly, these insane and cowardly acts. No religion or ideology justifies the killing of innocent people, and the world must stand up together against all the atrocities that go on around the world in a twisted understanding of religion or ideology.”

He said “President François Hollande and the French people need to be assured with deeds, not just words, that the world stands with France and stands ready to support them in the necessary fight against such evil.”
