Speaking to Citi News’ Ashanti regional correspondent, Hawa Iddrisu at the Asokwa  Magistrate  court, State Prosecutor, Superintendent Emmanuel Akonnor the accused were remanded to enable the Police to further investigate the matter.

“In murder cases, we don’t charge the accused person before we come to court, that is why we said the case is still under investigation. We take the docket to the Attorney General, he will advise us as to whether to charge them or not. So we are still in the process.”

On the party’s constituency chairman, Mr. Brenya the State prosecutor said he has been kept in Police custody because “we have to conduct further investigations into whatever allegations that have been raised in certain issues so he has to be there to clarify it for the Police. For now we’ve arrested four. We are going back to court on November 24.”
