The Electoral Commission has announced December 15th for the by-election in Amenfi West in the Western Region.
according to them, the by-election has become necessary following the death of the Member of Parliament for the area, John Gyetuah.

The EC in a statement said nominations for the by-election will be taken on Wednesday, November 18 and 19, 2015 at its Asankragwa office from 8:00am to 12:00noon and 2:00pm to 5:00pm each day.
Filing fee for political parties have been pegged at GH₵1,000.
“Nomination forms may be obtained from the Returning Officer at the District Office or the Regional Office of the Commission in Sekondi. Prospective candidates shall attach four recent photographs of bust size, with red background showing the full face and both ears, to the completed nomination forms,” the statement added.
