Diamond Cement Group Company has officially launched Western Diamond Cement factory in Bokro to serve the needs of builders in the Western Region.
The Western Diamond Cement factory will produce both the 42.5R and 32.5R grade in line with the company’s policy to be at the forefront of manufacturing of quality cement in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch event Mr. Manubhai J. Patel, Group Chairman of Diamond Cement Company Limited said “Western Diamond Cement will increase the cement grinding capacity with the Vertical Roller Mill Technology thus producing better quality cement to meet the requirements of the cement industry”.
Mr. Patel further explained that the company will employ the latest manufacturing processes, procedure and layout to ensure the quality of their product stands out as the best in the market.
He added that the establishment of Western Diamond Cement by the Group Company in the region will continue to provide direct and indirect employment opportunities to the people of the region as it happens Aflao and Buipe where Diamond Cement Factory and Savanna Diamond Cement are situated respectively.
He mentioned that Western Diamond Cement is one of three cement factories by the group with the other two being Diamond Cement Ghana Ltd (DCGL), Aflao and Savanna Diamond Cement Ltd, Takoradi.
Hon. George Aboagye, Member of Parliament for Ahanta District and Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Trade, Industry and Tourism at the event commended the management of Diamond Cement stating that the people and the region would support the company in bringing employment and development.
He mentioned that the establishment of Western Diamond Cement brings the product closer to them thus easing the cost and convenience of accessing the product.
