Local Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu says the team has enough quality to excel in its second leg of the 2016 CHAN qualifiers in Abidjan on Friday.
Ghana heads into the second leg with a 2-1 win secured in Kumasi on October 18.
Defender Patrick Asmah was criticized for his poor showing in the first leg but Konadu believes there are other players who will be able to play against the Ivorians.
“For us we know that we have so many versatile players in the team. Some of these players are multi-functional and so, when we think that one position is weak, we can bring in others. I do not share the opinion that says one of our players is weak or not capable but we can always make amends or the same player can bounce back and play better than in the first leg.”
Defender Lawrence Lartey is confident of a good result for the team because he feels and he and his team-mates have a better understanding of their opponents.
“I believe we now know the Ivorians and so, we believe we will find a strategy to get us a good result in Abidjan. They will open up because they have an away goal but we will be solid in defence so we can match them.”
