Committee to investigate Starbow crash to be inaugurated

Weeks after a Starbow airline run into a barricade at the Tamale Airport Citi Business News can confirm that the Ministry of Transport is to inaugurate a 6 member committee to investigate the course of the accident.

[contextly_sidebar id=”VGRf0O2JHNyohxiq0TTGVVjFfrsp8A7h”]The five member committee to be drawn from various sectors in the Transport industry has 30 days within which to submit a report to the Transport Ministry for further action.

The committee has the following terms of reference – to establish the probable cause of the accident, determine the extent of fatalities and injuries if any, establish extent of loses or damage to property among others.

Citi Business News understand the committee is likely to be chaired by Air Cdre Kwame Mamphey with some members like Emmanuel N. Quao, Wing Cdre Mike Ayensu, Group Captain Adu Gyamfi, Kenneth Kwawukume with Ellis Huge Tamakloe as the coordinator.

A Starbow Airline, carrying passengers from Accra to Tamale on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 crushed into a barricade on the runway of Tamale Airport.

No one on the flight was injured.
