The prosecuting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Moses Atibillah said the complainant is the proprietress of the school (name withheld) at Abeka Lapaz.

He said while the victim is a class six pupil of the school, the accused person was a former head teacher of the school.

ACP Atibillah said on June 16, 2015, the victim approached her class teacher (name withheld) that she had something secret to tell him and was given the opportunity to tell her story

According to the prosecutor, the victim revealed to her class teacher that somewhere in April 2014, the accused person lured her into his office on several occasions and had sexual intercourse with her.

He added that the victim said after the act, the accused person warned her not tell anyone else she would die.

He added that the victim’s class teacher informed the complainant who reported the matter to the Police and medical form was issued to the victim whose mother was then informed.

ACP Atibillah  said the Police at Sakumono picked up the accused person and he admitted the offence and confessed to Chief Inspector Margaret Addo but he later denied same in his caution statement.
