Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Alhaji Collins Dauda, has touted the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TAMA) as a shinning model in terms of government projects execution.

He promised to judiciously use the available resources to undertake projects that will enhance the income levels of the people.

He revealed the assembly’s intention to plant 20 million tree seedlings to accomplish the ‘Green Tamale Project’.

Alhaji Gundado said the assembly will carry out the project in collaboration with the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), and other development partners.

The assembly has so far expanded infrastructure in various parts of the metropolis    .

These include roads, street lights, water extension, Water Closet toilets, storm drains, market stores and sanitation facilities.

Moshie Zongo, Tishigu, Salamba, Aboabo, Gumani and Nyohini are among the beneficiary communities.
