Vodafone Business Solutions headlines African SME Summit

Driven by its passion to empower Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Ghana, Vodafone Business Solutions (VBS), is headlining the 2nd edition of African SME summit scheduled for 5th to 7th November, under the theme ‘Dreaming Africa’.

The 3-day summit organized by Creative Trends Limited, will offer the platforms for SMEs to learn from major industry players and also understand business growth essentials. The summit will also provide networking and mentoring opportunities for SME owners, and avenues for them to showcase their products.

Commenting on the summit packages, Angela Mensah-Poku, Head of Vodafone Business Solutions, said:

‘Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the main engines for economic growth and development globally, and they account for the highest number of registered companies in every economy. Fundamentally, they are important players for national development but face a number challenges that affect their growth and productivity. This seminar has been designed to empower and offer SMEs with essential business knowledge and suitable telecommunications solutions that will increase their productivity, drive efficiency and increase growth’’.

She added that VBS is SME-centric and continue to develop products and services which are beneficial to SMEs. These include the ‘Red Business’ package which is aimed at empowering SMEs as small as ‘Auntie Muni’ to become ‘a ready business’.

The summit presents over 20 speakers from high end businesses including Haris Broumidis, CEO of the three-time CIMG Telecoms Company of the Year, Vodafone Ghana; Edward Boateng, CEO of Global Media Alliance; Professor Atuahene Gyimah, founder of Nobel International Business School and a professor of innovation; and many other speakers.

Other partners include HFC Bank, Guinness Ghana Limited, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Joy Fm and Graphic Business.

The Vodafone African SME Summit comes off from Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th November at the Best Western Hotel.
