A Supreme Court in Accra has indefinitely adjourned the case brought before it by Justice Paul Derry, one of the implicated Judges in the judicial corruption scandal.

[contextly_sidebar id=”xkIbZDMqYdocganvT4bjKMN9AJVwSFef”]This is because the bailiffs were unable to serve investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team the suit.

Lawyer for Paul Derry told the court that the address provided for service has not led the bailiffs anywhere.

The Supreme Court Justice, Julius Ansah was forced to adjourn the case sine die on Tuesday.

There is already a pending application for extension by the Attorney General but the application could not be heard due to the same reasons.

Justice Derry is praying the Supreme Court to declare null and void a petition before the President to have him investigated over some allegations of corruption.

He argued that the process violates the article 148 of the constitutional provision.

Contempt cases

Justice Dery had sued Anas and some institutions including the Accra International Conference Centre, UTV and Global Cinemas for showing the video that captured him and some other judges allegedly taking bribes.
