A former Minister of State under the erstwhile Kufuor administration, S.K Boafo, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration of “destroying” the School Feeding Programme.

In 2005, the then New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in collaboration with the Dutch government, started a school feeding programme known as the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).

But since 2012, the managers of the programme have been struggling to effectively  sustain with it due to low budgetary allocation, poor nutritional content, and the non-payment of salaries of the caterers, among others.

S.K Boafo on Time with Legends  segment on the Citi Breakfast Show, blamed the NDC for the current challenges bedeviling the programme.

“We are the people who started the School Feeding Programme but they [NDC] have destroyed it. Is the school feeding programme working,”he queried.
