Ghana star Kwadwo Asamoah will have to wait at least another year if he has to fulfil his dream of winning a European title.
On Thursday night, Juventus drew 0-0 with Benfica at home to record an aggregate 2-1 defeat in the semi-final of the Europa League.
Asamoah played for 90 minutes but the task of overturning the first leg deficit proved too hard.
He will now refocus his efforts at making sure Juventus’ 95 points in the Serie A will be safeguarded or increased in the last few games of the season.
Since going to the Old Lady, Asamoah’s wingback role has been hailed as they storm to a second straight Scudetto.
