The Bank of Africa has donated an amount of GH¢22,500 to the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono -Tema. The donation was made for the re-construction of Tee-boxes (nine holes) at the club’s facility during the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Invitational Tournament.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of the bank, Kobby Andah, stated that sports is one of the bank’s core CSR areas hence their contribution to the club.
He gave the assurance that his outfit would continue to support the development of the sports in the country.
The event which took place at the grounds of the Club brought together high profile personalities from the Diplomatic and Business communities as well as members of the golf fraternity.
The Captain of the Club, Mr. Francis Opoku, expressed gratitude to the bank for the gesture and hoped for future camaraderie between the two brands.
Meanwhile the Bank of Africa has opened another branch at Suame in the Ashanti region. According to the Deputy Managing Director of the bank, Said Adren, the move is to enable the bank be as close as a partner to the people of Suame and its environs.
