Anas’ video: Committee investigating judicial staff begins sitting

A committee set up  by the Chief Justice to investigate allegations of corruption against some staff of the judicial service has begun sitting.

[contextly_sidebar id=”zNGeYqo3pdv8ZuBHNA8mB0254IMwoSfY”]Over eighty staff of the service implicated in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas video are expected to appear before it over a period of one month.

The Committee is chaired by Avril Lovelace Jonhson, a Justice of the Court of Appeal.

Other members of the committee include Mr. Frederick Baidoo (Dep. Director of Human Resource), Mr. John Bannerman (Chief Registrar of Cour Amd Derrick Annan (JUSAG representative), Nana Opoku Asumani (Secretary) and Patricia Quansah (Circuit Court Judge).

Sources at the Judicial service told Citi News that one person identified in the Anas video as Djata will appear before the committee as well as the driver of Justice Ivy Heward Mills, one of the indicted High Court judges.
