Before his appointment as Kotoko President, Kuffour served as a board member under the Opoku Nti led administration.

He has been handed the mandate to hand pick his own management team and board which according to reports will include former Communications Director of the club, Kwame Baah Nuako, and former Black Stars player, Tony Baffoe.

“My influence says a lot and I will bring the experience that I acquired outside on board so that we can all enjoy and share in my ideas. “You need a good team around because this is not about Sammy Kuffour.

“Taking this job as Kotoko President isn’t about me, it is about the fans, the people who pay one cedi to come watch Kotoko and those that cry when we lose matches,” he revealed in an interview with Accra based Metro TV.
