It’s certainly been an eventful week for Nana Aba Anamoah.

After trolling and ‘crucifying’ her days following her recent faux pas, Ghanaians have rallied behind the popular TV presenter and are calling for her reinstatement following her suspension.

The hashtag #bringbackNanaAba is the top trend on Twitter, with many people, including radio personality Abeiku Santana and comedian DKB, voicing their support for the Tv host.

If TV3 truly serve its viewers then they shd respond to the voice of the people.bringbackNanaAba #bringbackNanaAba @omgGhanaDotCom @Citi973 — Abeiku Santana (@AbeikuSantana) October 4, 2015

The host of a number of the station’s most popular shows including ‘New Day’ tweeted photos suggesting that she had been to Old Trafford to see her ‘favourite club’ Manchester United play. Following revelations that the pictures she posted were not hers, she was trolled brutally, with her image photoshopped into several amusing scenarios.

Nana Aba eventually apologised for the incident, stating that she did not mean to ‘steal’ the pictures, meant as a prank as hers.   She was, however, suspended by TV3 on Saturday “after preliminary investigations internally, and in accordance with TV3’s own commitment to the highest level of professionalism.”   Reaction to her suspension with a few commentators arguing that TV3 had every right to protect the image of the company.   However, it appears that most Ghanaians are against the decision and have taken the extra step to get her reinstated.

She slaved 4 ds network thru thick & thin. Wen her fellows were jumpn ship & stayed & help build e brand #BringBackNanaAba — felix darfour (@kuuldee) October 3, 2015

While support for Nana Aba is building up, a few people have found more humorous ways of addressing the issue using the hashtag.

We were just joking. Everyone has stolen a picture before #bringbackNanaAba pic.twitter.com/k4KaAfbLVF — S.E.L.I.K.E.M (@Being_seli) October 4, 2015

Although it is uncertain whether this effort by Nana Aba’s fans will be successful, one thing is; no one will underestimate the Twittersphere ever again.
