Accra is undoubtedly growing into a very busy hub of development. Managers are becoming younger, the general creative and innovative spirit is getting stronger and it’s an-out-with-the-old- in-with-the-new vibe. The fast and furious nature of Accra can be quite cutthroat and unforgiving at times, but it has engendered one thing: determination to stay relevant on the world stage.

The Citi FM Expressions of Accra event returns this year, in collaboration with textiles powerhouse – GTP, to capture and expose the new Accra and the underlying fashion trends.

Dubbed Expressions of Accra: Fast and Furious, the third edition of the Citi FM Expressions of Accra would be a documentation of the ‘fast growing & furiously stylish’ nature of urban fashion, fashionistas and fashion trends in Accra. It has been earmarked to deliver the ultimate fashion experience.

Expressions of Accra seeks to capture exactly the exciting new spirit. Designers would focus on designs that creative, innovative Ghanaian leaders would wear, the aim being to express through fashion the great strides Ghanaians are making in the world.

Models would be clothed and accessorized by Sarah Christian, MSimps, MAKSI Clothings, Naa Lamley Kouture, Chapter One, Horseman Shoes and Trap Shoes.

Expressions of Accra comes off on Saturday October 17 at Asante Hall of the plush Alisa Hotel, Ridge – Accra. Okyeame Kwame, Noella Wiyaala and the Dark Suburb are billed to thrill patrons with the best of Ghanaian music on the night. Patrons are advised to come with high expectations as they also stand the chance to win gold nuggets from Menzbank, a key sponsor of this edition.
