Ghana’s 2nd FPSO christened Prof John Evans Atta Mills

The second Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO) has been christened Prof. John Evans Atta Mills.

The FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills which was built in Singapore has an oil storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels and a gas capacity and water injection capacity of 170million standard cubic feet daily and 120,000 barrels water daily respectively.

The  new floating vessel, will be for the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN)  project.

The second FPSO is expected to start producing oil from the TEN fields from mid-2016.

It is expected to produce some 75, 000 barrels of crude per day when it begins production and has a design life span of 20 years.

According to Tullow Ghana Limited lead operators for the TEN fields the FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills unit for the TEN project should be in country by December this year.
