Starbow has received the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate after successfully completing the audit for modern operational safety requirements compliance.

[contextly_sidebar id=”gi0syVedWCoaBlTwmNGBhsMU75E4CHpC”]The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline.

The IOSA audit covers all aspects of an airline`s operations affecting flight safety, including maintenance and flight operation, ground handling, cargo transportation, and company management.

The certificate according to the airline, is another milestone in its effort to maintain a safe and secure operational environment for its customers, staff and other stakeholders.

IOSA uses internationally recognized quality audit principles and is designed to conduct audits in a standardized and consistent manner.

It was created in 2003 by IATA (International Air Transport Association). The programme is designed to assess the operational management and control systems of airlines.

The companies are included in the IOSA registry for a period of 2 years following an audit carried out by an organization accredited by IATA. The auditing standards have been developed in collaboration with various regulatory authorities, such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the USA, Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Transport Canada and the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA). IATA oversees the accreditation of audit organizations, ensure the continuous development of IOSA standards and practices and manages the IOSA registry.

Starbow’s certification raises the airline’s marketability as an airline with high safety standards. The total accident rate for IOSA carriers in 2013 was 2.5 times lower than the rate for non-IOSA operators.
