The Coalition of Muslim Organizations in Ghana (COMOG) has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to institute a special award scheme to honor ace Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for his investigative skills which has uncovered many wrongs in the country, particularly the recent revelations in the judiciary.
[contextly_sidebar id=”dPXuuJFm5l71gsppqP23HBlK4fXWONW2″]They also appealed to the Chief Justice to mete out stiffer punishment to the accused judges that would be found culpable by the Judicial Council who currently investigating them.
This was contained in a news release signed by Hajj Abdel Manan Abdel Rahman, General Secretary of COMOG and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.
Mr. Anas Aremayaw Anas, Ghanaian investigative Journalist, who has for some years now unearthed many scandals in the public sector through secret recordings, has come out with another video in which some 34 judges and over 80 judicial staff were captured allegedly taking bribes.
COMOG believes that Anas has performed creditably well in his field as an investigative Journalist and therefore instituting a special award for him would not be out of place.
“COMOG would also like to call on the Chief Justice and other relevant Authorities to deal with those found guilty of the accusation with the full rigors of the laws of the land.”
