Three aspirants including Hannah Tetteh and Cassel Ato Forson incumbent MPs for Awutu Senya West and Ajumako Enyan Essiam respectively as well as James Joe Quayson of the Assin North constituency had their vetting rescheduled to a later date as they were unavailable during the period.

Those disqualified include; Lawyer Kwaku Darko, Doreen Ewuraba Manison and Kweku Bortey Ghartey who were contesting in the Upper Denkyira West; Komenda Edina Ekuafo Abream (KEEA) and Effutu constituencies respectively.

Central Regional correspondent, Akwasi Koranteng reports that a total of 65 aspirants out of the 68 who picked nominations were vetted at the party’s regional headquarters last Tuesday.

Results for three other aspirants including Lawyer Kanga Kesse and Rev Quansah both contesting the Ewutu Senya East and J.E Adams of Gomoa Central were deferred till Monday, September 28.

However, one candidate, Kweku Ansrah who is contesting in the Abora Asebu Kwamankese constituency willingly stepped down after being cleared to contest.
