According to the Police, their investigations revealed that on Friday dawn the suspects in the company of two others who are now at large, armed with weapons, raided a house at Ashaiman, Lebanon Zone 5, broke into the room and ordered the complainant who was at the time with his wife and children, to surrender all valuables they had in their possession or risk losing their lives.

In the process, the four armed men made away with Three (3) mobile phones, some personal effects and cash amount of GHC900.

On their way out after the robbery, a son to one of their victims raised his head and saw them.

A statement from the Police added that after their arrest, further investigations brought to light that, the suspects were involved in series of robberies, which occurred during the past week in Ashaiman.

“A huge number of people thronged the Ashaiman District Police Headquarters to catch a glimpse of the suspects and some identified the suspects as their assailants,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, a third person, Patrick Teye, aged 23 years old and a trader, was also arrested for jumping bail after he was involved in a robbery incident sometime ago.

Patrick and his accomplice Osumanu Issah jumped bail after a few appearances in court and went into hiding. Patrick Teye was arrested in the swoop on Sunday  where the two suspected robbers, Richard and Ebenezer alias “Biggy” were also arrested.

The Police said that Osumanu Issah is still on the run and is suspected to be hiding in or around Kpando in the Volta Region.
