King Faisal Football Club has highlighted the strength of its players for the win over Aduana Stars in the outstanding MTN FA Cup Quarter final match played at the Dormaa Park on Sunday.

The Kumasi-based side won 5-3 on penalties after Mohammed Alhassan responded to Godfred Saka’s strike for the home team during regulation time and after the match, the victors’ Public Relations Officer, Sakyi Akomea Boateng, told Citi Sports in an interview, the players showed strength to win a match they had not dominated.
“We are very happy with the result because we really did not have a lot of chances in the game but we did well in the shootout.
“We got things our way because we scored and Aduana missed one of their kicks. It was a gallant performance from the lads today.”
King Faisal will discover their next opponents are in coming days but according to Boateng, they must also keep their eyes on the league as they are fighting off relegation. He added, though, that both the league and the cup competition would be given equal attention.
“We are competing on two fronts now. We must stay up in the league because our form has not been that good.
We need to focus on getting the results because one bad result could send us further down the table. But we will want to win the FA Cup and so, we are just waiting to see who we will play next after Aduana.”
King Faisal are currently 12th on 34 points and they play against Liberty Professionals, Heart of Lions and Berekum Chelsea in their last three league games of the season.
