About 2 years ago, a young man with passion and talent launched onto the music scene with a dream to be heard. Very new to the music industry, he released his first single ‘Church Dey Sweet’ which made considerable impact at various events because of its afrobeat rhythm and feel.
His new single titled ‘You Made Me’ also features two other talented musicians; Perez Musik and Divie, who both bring their unique vocal display to blend this masterpiece.
E-Rock has made impressive progress and built a strong fan base by performing on big platforms such as the International Pastors and Partners’ Conference in Nigeria and many others. He has also made various media appearances across Ghana.
The Ghanaian singer has a rich silky voice and distinct lyrics he earned after a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
His debut album ‘The Necessity Project’ released in 2013, received much commendation among industry folk. Earlier this year, one of Africa’s biggest gospel artiste’s Sinach, endorsed him as one of the finest young musicians to watch out for.
E-Rock has expressed his thoughts on his journey in the music industry so far, “I think it’s more of a gradual buildup. More like a permanent structure so I’m not rushing into getting known out there. It’s a ministry not just a music career or performance. I am building a steady fan base and steady following. With the right structures set in place, I think I’ll see results. Right now I am building a steady image; a steady brand is my focus”.
Even though E-Rock says he is just getting started, some of his achievements include; his nomination for Christian Community Music Awards and also winning the Future Africa Leaders Award 2014 in Nigeria, which is an initiative aimed at exploring and expanding the leadership potential in Africa and for Africa.
For the past few weeks, E-Rock has been in Nigeria for an internship program as part of being one of the top winners of the Future Africa Leadership Award. He shared his experience on the trip so far “It’s been a great time, a very beautiful experience. I’ve learnt so much about administration and building structures to hold something that will be long lasting. I’ve had an experience with the anointing, with the Holy Spirit and basic things that I need to make ministry work”.
To mark his milestone, E-Rock released ‘You Made Me’ on his birthday 19th September 2015. The song expresses profound gratitude to God and attributes all success to him.
