Legal practitioner and member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere Darko has blamed the increased bickering in the party on what he refers to as the lack of information management within the NPP.

The NPP has been in the news recently for what some refer to as the disclosure of party information to the public.

The latest has been an allegation leveled against the party’s first Vice National Chairman, Freddie Blay and Treasurer, Abankwah Yeboah for diverting some party funds.

[contextly_sidebar id=”SuUZoyliPA26IxZsQ9owywNp5bmfoGpe”]According to Baah Acheamfour who made the allegation, the two executives had not being able to account for some funds belonging to the party.

He also alleges that the two executives opened and operated a party account at Ecobank without the knowledge of other executives.

Gabby Otchere Darko who was commenting on the recent developments within the party on The Big Issue also accused the media of contributing to tensions by focusing on the party’s internal struggles.

“The media somehow also wants to talk about NPP matters,… it appears to me the current leadership is not able to deal with these gadgets and information, information management is a major problem now actually within the party,” he said.

The council of elders of the NPP has requested the disciplinary committee of the party to suspend the party’s National Chairman, Paul Afoko until after the 2016 elections. This followed what the party referred to as making public comments on the state of party funds.

Meanwhile the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo has assured party sympathizers that the leadership of the party will work to make sure all concerns are duly addressed as soon as possible.
