A Magistrate court in Accra, was forced to adjourn the case involving Gregory Afoko, accused of killing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman, Adam Mahama.
The Police told the court on Monday that they have picked up intelligence that a gang was on its way to the court and planned to attack Gregory Afoko after the hearing.
In an attempt to prevent the possible blood shed in court, the presiding judge Worlayo Kotoku, granted the request and the Police whisked him away.
On August 18, some aggrieved family members of Adam Mahama, went to the Cocoa Affairs court to attack relatives of Gregory Afoko.
One of Afoko’s sisters was attacked in the process and another family member of Adam Mahama collapsed in the process.
