The Committee tasked to investigate allegations of diversion of party funds is expected to present its report next week.
A petition presented to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police service by an activist of the NPP, Baah Achamfuor has accused the First Vice National Chairman of the NPP,Freddie Blay and the party’s Treasurer, Abankwah Yeboah for allegedly diverting some funds belonging to the party.
[contextly_sidebar id=”SIxDSMKhjZeIT7CSwj6HbkDkIKudyiJ3″]They have also been accused of opening an account at the Trust Towers Branch of ECOBANK. The two executives have since denied these allegations describing the developments as an attempt by some rivalries to destroy them.
Chaired by former General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Ohene Ntow, the Committee is expected to among other things investigate the two national executives of the party.
In a related development, the flagbearer of the NPP in the 2016 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo has given the assurance that the executives will work to ensure they address the current issues facing the party.
Nana Addo was addressing party members in the Volta region as part of his “Rise and Build” tour.
