There have been no reports of human casualties so far but the residents, fearing that other villages might be at risk, have appealed to the National Disaster Management Organization to come to their aid.

“No life has been lost. The disaster happened during the day and the people had time to relocate. We have tried to reach the NADMO officials on the line but we haven’t been able to so far,” Mr. Torblu added.
