Some prices of food stuffs across the various markets in the country went down marginally.
Commodities like maize and soya beans lost 2 percent while imported rice lost a percentage point, according to a nationwide monitoring by Esoko Ghana limited.
In Takoradi, maize lost 9 percent to close at GHS 5.20 with Techiman also losing 13 percent to close the week at GHS 3.50.
However, an olunka of maize cost GHS 5.50 in Kumasi representing a gain of 5 percent.
Tomatoes also saw the highest gain of 16 percent this week, with the “medium size tomato tin,” selling at GHS 7.60 per.
It gained 39 percentage increase in Takoradi and 34 percent in Accra, selling at GHS 9.40.
