The climax of this year’s Homowo promises to be electrifying as a star-studded line up of the biggest names on the contemporary music scene are billed to storm Osu on Friday,  August 28, for the Vodafone Homowo Musical Concert.

The free musical concert forms part of activities lined up by the telecommunication giant to get closer to the Ga community.

It will involve the ‘Telemo’ hitmkaker, Gasmilla, Tinny, Screw Face, and sensational highlife artist, Andane Best, who will treat music lovers to an unforgettable night of great musical showmanship.

Commenting, Agnes Emefa Essah, Marketing Director of Vodafone Ghana said:

“Vodafone is proud to support this musical concert because we believe that music plays a significant role in every society. As a company, we constantly seek to develop and nurture fruitful relationships within the communities in which we operate and the people of Accra are no exception. Going forward, we will continue to support impactful programmes in the Ga communities to improve the lives of the people.”

As part of the Vodafone’s comprehensive support for the festival, the company sponsored the amateur boxing tournament in Ga-Mashie, organized its flagship community health initiative, Healthfest in Osu and La, as well as the regatta.

This support is testament to the great relationship the company has developed with the Chiefs and people of Accra, dating as far back as 2008 when it entered into the telecommunications sector. Majority of its employees are also residents in the Greater Accra region.
