The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Alhassan has assured residents of Amanfrom that they will be protected from the robbers who had for weeks been subjecting them to constant torture.
The IGP said the Police has adopted strategies to rid the community off criminals.
The situation compelled the Accra Regional Police commander to visit the area on three occasions to assess the situation prior to the IGP’s visit today.
The Police have also erected a temporary post at Amanfrom American Farm to ensure a quick response to emergencies.
Addressing the media after touring the community, the IGP Mohammed Alhassan said the Police will also educate members of the community on some community security related issues.
