The Inspector General of the Ghana Police (IGP), Mohammed Alhassan will today [Wednesday] visit robbery-plagued Amanfrom in the Ga South Municipality.
[contextly_sidebar id=”khzslXP41HfOQm1TcFYlnDkmrfld772P”]The purpose of the visit is to assess at first hand, the armed robbery situation in the area.
Residents of Amanfrom have fallen victim to robbers in the last few weeks and several people have reported injuries from the robberies, including a 15-year old girl who stabbed.
The Police however say that bad roads in the area hamper their efforts to protect the people in the area.
They have therefore set up a tent as a temporary post in the area for armed Police officers.
This is to ensure that residents will be well protected from the robbers.
