The father of the young man suspected of joining the ISIS group in the Middle East is appealing to the media to help him locate his son.
[contextly_sidebar id=”FR7YV2ifA2hKPAj0yzkJ0jvrPhtdrveU”]The 25-year-old Nazir Nortei Alema, believed to be a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is said to have sent a message to his family announcing his decision to join the dreaded group.
His father, Abdul Latif Alema told Citi News the family is relying on the National Security to help track down their son.
“Everyone is worried, his grandparents, his siblings. I’m telling you now so that if there is any help, you can offer me. The national security…just behind my house, they said they’ve received similar reports from other parents and that they are dealing with the matter.”
He stated that his son “has just finished with his national service and he said he has been sent on an assignment to Prestea. The message that he gave us on the 15th, he categorically told us that he had lied. If you read what he sent, you would think that he had a mental problem.”
Meanwhile an earlier report stated that a female Muslim student of the University of Ghana, Legon, told relatives of Nazir Alema that he is currently undergoing training during which he would remain incommunicado.
