The Accra Regional Police Command on Tuesday set up some tents at Amanfrom Top Town and American Farm areas, following reports of massive robbery attacks in the area in the last few weeks.
The tents will host some armed Police officers who will be on guard in the community to ward off any criminal activities in the area.
The Accra Regional Police Commander DCOP Christian Tetteh-Yohuno two weeks ago, visited the area to assess the security challenges in the community but his visit to the place was not enough as the community continues to witness armed attacks after his visit.
Last Friday, 15 year old girl was stabbed in the hand after three suspected armed robbers attacked her around 5 am.
The bad road network and the absence of a police post Amanfrom according to the police is hampering their efforts in combating crime in the community.
