The Bawku Municipal Chief Executive says calm has returned to the area following clashes between the youth of the area and Police.
The youth, numbering over 200 were allegedly protesting what they term the unlawful arrest of a local Imam.

Gunshots were fired following their attempt to break into the police station.
Two persons were injured in the process however the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Bukari Isaaku told Citi News the police are in control of the situation.
“For sometime now there has been absolute peace… No arrest has been made but the Police I’m told are carrying out investigation. Bawku has been very peaceful. There is nothing in town,” he said.
