Ghanaians commended for adhering to healthy lifestyles

The National Coordinator of the Zoomlion Foundation, Mrs. Sarah Kyei has commended Ghanaians for adhering to healthy life styles.

She explained that recent health awareness programs rolled out across the country has motivated Ghanaians to be conscious of their health.

Speaking to Citi News during a free health screening by the Zoomlion Foundation, Mrs. Sarah Kyei indicated, “Ghanaians are now becoming conscious of the health concerns compared to ten years ago. Over the years, health institutions and cooperates bodies have engaged in the Healthy Lifestyle awareness campaign encouraging people to exercise regularly and to eat nutritious and healthy food particularly vegetables and fruits.”

She also admonished Ghanaians to seek regular medical screening for early detection and treatment.

The medical screening by Zoomlion Foundation saw over 1,000 workers of the Jospong Group of Companies undergo medical screening.

JOSPONG Group of Companies as part of its corporate social responsibilities formed the ZOOMLION Foundation.

“The ZOOMLION Foundation will handle all social intervention programs. Our focus will be to inculcate a culture of sound environmental sanitation practices through training and capacity building, advocacy, partnerships and direct support. The thematic areas of the foundation will be on; Environmental Sanitation Management, Healthcare Support and Educational Support,” she added.
