“Our resolve is base on his maturity, efficiency , organizational skills, track record and commitment to the course of the party. We again believe that Prof. Delle as chairman , the party would secure not less than 150 members of parliament in the next parliament, as we would be able to win the next general elections to save  the suffering masses of our country,” Mr. Umar stressed.

Mr. Umar added that the CPP in the Upper East region is entreating other regional and constituency executives in the country to give Prof. Delle their support to rebrand the CPP for victory in the upcoming 2016 general elections.

Even though Professor Delle is yet to pick his nomination form, he has declared his intention to contest for the national executive position as chairman.

The national congress of the CPP is slated for September 18 to 19 this year to elect national executives to man the affairs of the party.
