Franklin Cudjoe, president of policy think tank, IMANI Ghana, has mounted a spirited defense for President Mahama’s aide, Stan Dogbe after the latter allegedly leaked proposals on conditions of service by the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) to the public.

[contextly_sidebar id=”1HEZtzLTw4RvoK6HlyBSowDnLnfkeVar”]GMA after embarking on strike presented to government proposals it wants to be included in their conditions of service.

Stan Dogbe published details of the document on his Facebook wall.

He has widely been criticized for making the document public while several others including Organised Labour have called on the president to sack him.

But speaking on Citi FM’s News Analysis programme, The Big Issue on Saturday, Franklin Cudjoe said he sees nothing wrong with Stan’s action.

“I agree that the way this was managed from the beginning was not the best.  I’m referring only to the aspects that has to do with the insults to the doctors, I felt that obviously, was wrong. In the same vain, I totally do not see anything wrong with the exposé.”

Franklin Cudje argued that “these are economic document” which would affect the taxpayer adding that “even everybody knows the terms of nuclear negotiations.”

Though he noted that “I would have preferred if it was the media that leaked it” he said “a leak is a leak.”

He further added that Stan Dogbe was only practicing “citizen journalism.”

“I’m very serious about this issue. If I’d found that document I would possible would have leaked it. I pay tax so if there is going to be an increment in salaries I would have to know. The two people negotiating cannot do anything on the frolic of their own. Keeping it away from us in itself is a disservice to the general public. It is disrespectful to have kept the details of the negotiations from us,” Franklin Cudjoe added.
