An Accra High court has dismissed an injunction application brought before it against the Ghana Football Association (GFA), seeking to prevent it from organising it’s congress to elect new executives.

[contextly_sidebar id=”I2bA5oGHiXuADHHmi10lhbTPm6eFZIsY”]The suit was brought to court by a private legal practitioner John Quayson together with the football club, Dynamic Heroes of Winneba to stop the GFA from going ahead with congress to elect a new president.

Delivering his ruling on the matter presiding judge, RB Batu said the plaintiff did not have the locus to sue the GFA, considering the fact that he is not a member of association, hence his decision to dismiss the suit.

The ruling therefore gives the GFA the all clear to organise the elections.

Current GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is standing opposed in this contest is likely receive an overwhelming endorsement from congress.

He would the running the affairs of the GFA for the third consecutive time since becoming the president in 2005.
