French league 1 side have confirmed the signing of Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris from Trabzsonspor.
The French side beat competition from fellow rivals Rennes to seal the signature of the forward.
Waris arrived in Paris on Wednesday afternoon ahead of a proposed move to Stade Rennes but reports from France claimed Lorient officials were on standby to whisk him away and have now made him their third signing for the upcoming season.
The move sees Waris return to French football after a loan spell with Valenciennes two seasons ago.
He will join their pre-season immediately as they prepare for the upcoming season.
